More than 15 years ago, Moneé Sanders was a young entrepreneur styling family members hair. By the time she approached her teen phase she was hand crafting custom wigs at just thirteen. Clients wasn't easy to come by, and her despair grew. She turned to Donte Watkins, the serial entrepreneur of hopeless causes, and vowed:

” We will become one of the most successful people on the planet.”

That conversation marked a pivotal moment. In 2014, Moneé moved from Chicago to Atlanta to make this dream a reality. After being behind the chair as a licensed cosmetologist for two years, clients gave her the nickname, “The Growing Hands,” after helping their hair grow back so quickly. As a group we discovered that clients were hiding their Alopecia and didn’t have many organizations to turn to for assistance or direction. In reality there was a desperate need for an organization to protect and comfort individuals undergoing hair loss. This community needed help spreading awareness, higher education, treatments, beauty alternatives, mental support, and more in-depth research. Dreams became a reality when Moneé started providing resources in the medical and beauty industry for hundreds of individuals. By 19 years old she became the first woman in history to become CEO of a nonprofit corporation regarding autoimmune diseases and connecting professionals. Alopecian Beauty Co was founded in October 2017.
